She may be an Academy Award winning actress and movie star, but Halle Berry's most important job is being mother to her adorable daughter.
After glamming up at the Oscars on Sunday night, the 46-year-old was back to motherly duties the very next day.

Halle showed no sign of her red carpet luster on Monday morning as she carried Nahla, her soon-to-be five-year-old daughter, to school in Los Angeles.

The Cloud Atlas star was decidedly dressed down from her eye-catching ensemble the night before.

She hid her famous curves in baggy-boyish jeans and a loose-fitting grey jumper and scarf.
The former Catwoman star completed the casual attire with a pair of buckled boots and sunglasses.

Mom-muscles: A sleepy Nahla hitched a ride in her mother's arms

Displaying her mom-muscles, the actress scooped up her sleepy child in one arm as she quickly dashed to Nahla's school.

The tired youngster matched her mother's baggy jeans, but demonstrated her burgeoning independence with a stylishly cut leather jacket, grey hooded jumper, and leopard print high tops.

The girly-girl kept her light curls in neat pigtails.

Even though she's a full-time mother, the Monster's Ball star still makes ample time for her film career.

Her latest project, The Call, is scheduled for release on March 15.

Later this year she is set to film Shoes Addicts Anonymous, where the Oscar winner stars as a shoe addict who must join a support group.
