X-Men: Days Of Future Past posters with Halle, Hugh, Jennifer and all your favourites

Her sexiest costume: Jennifer Lawrence sizzles in blue body paint as Hugh Jackman looks fierce in new X-Men: Days Of Future Past posters

She can shape shift into anything she wants.
On Friday Jennifer Lawrence revealed her fabulous curves as mutant Mystique alongside hunky Hugh jackman as Wolverine in new posters that highlight the key cast for the upcoming film X-Men: Days Of Future Past.
20th Century Fox and Marvel unveiled nine posters to build even more excitement before the highly anticipated May 23 US release of the next installment of the big-budget franchise.

In her mutant form, Mystique is covered in scaly blue skin and little else, meaning much of Jennifer's body is on display in the movie and the posters.
The 23-year-old is reprising her role from the previous instalment, X-Men: First Class, which rebooted the franchise and follows the mutants when they were young.
She took over from the equally shapely Rebecca Romijn, who played the part in the first three movies, which kicked off in 2000.

In the upcoming movie, the X-Men send Wolverine, played by 45-year-old Hugh, to the past in a desperate effort to change history and prevent an event that dooms humans and mutants.
This gives director Bryan Singer the opportunity to reunite the cast from the original trilogy, including 73-year-old Patrick Stewart, as Professor Charles Xavier, and Ian McKellen, 74, as Magneto, with their younger selves from X-Men: First Class, James McAvoy, 34, and Michael Fassbender, 37.
It also introduces a new baddie - Peter Dinklage as military scientist Bolivar Trask whose company has created a range of robots called Sentinels to hunt and destroy mutants.

The other members of the starry ensemble cast include Halle Berry as Storm and Ellen Page as Kitty Pryde.
'This is a story about a bad future, not a bad situation with an individual, but a bad future and how do you go back and change that,' Bryan Singer told Collider earlier this year.
The movie was filmed in Montreal, Canada last year.

Where are all the movies starring female superheroes?

Where are all the movies starring female superheroes?

Friday marks the release of “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” and with it is likely to come griping along the lines of, “What? Another movie starring a male superhero?” As Time magazine asked, “Where are all the (good) female superhero movies?”
It’s a fair point. And while we were given the WB network’s “Birds of Prey” in 2002, and some enlightened exec greenlit Pam Anderson’s awful “Barb Wire” in 1996, adaptations of comic books with female leads have been relatively rare.
So when are those superheroine movies going to start flooding the multiplex? Don’t hold your breath. It may be a couple years yet — if at all.
The easiest explanation for the lack of female-driven films is sexism. Maybe. But “The Hunger Games” and “Divergent,” which both feature a female superhero of sorts, still got made.
Modal Trigger
Pamela Anderson in “Barb Wire.”
Blame the source material. Female superhero titles haven’t historically sold well in the comic-book world for many reasons, including the fact that readership is overwhelmingly male. In February of this year, not one superheroine title cracked the top 10.
“Spider-Man” and “Batman” are far more popular than any super-gal in the print world.
So even if some open-minded studio wanted to make a movie with a female lead, who would they choose?
“Wonder Woman” seems like an obvious choice. And Warner Bros., which controls the DC Comics properties, has been trying to get a film off the ground for years, even commissioning a 2011 TV pilot starring Adrianne Palicki. But NBC declined to pick it up.
But there may be a ray of hope in the form of Warner Bros.’ “Man of Steel” sequel, due in 2016. In addition to Henry Cavill as Superman, it will feature not only Ben Affleck as Batman but Israeli actress Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. And there’s sure to be at least talk about Gadot, a “Fast and Furious” veteran, moving on to a stand-alone adventure.
Meanwhile, Marvel Studios — makers of “Iron Man” and “The Avengers” — has a different problem. It’s firmly established its universe, have produced hit after hit and seems most well-positioned to produce a female-driven movie. But the studio only controls a portion of the Marvel Comics characters because the publisher sold off the rights to the X-Men, Spider-Man and other characters to rival studios back in the 1990s.
Marvel’s most high-profile female character is now Black Widow (Scarlett Johannson). Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige has said giving Widow her own film is a distinct possibility and that he has “various outlines and ideas” of where to take her story. Other than that, the roster of big-name ladies is thin. Remake “Elektra,” which bombed in 2005?
So why not just invent a new superhero? No chance. So much of what drives Hollywood in 2014 is what’s called “pre-awareness” — the idea that audiences are already familiar with characters or concepts, creating easy anticipation and saving the studio marketing dollars. (This is why we get crap like “The A-Team.”)
In the end, the next female-driven superhero franchise will likely arrive on the small screen. Last year, Marvel and Netflix teamed to produce five TV series, including “Jessica Jones,” about a retired super-hero-turned-private eye. Men and women alike should look for it in 2015.

In this week's It's Top Secret, British 60m champion Asha Philip talks about Grease, Halle Berry, the Williams sisters... and pigeons

Who is your sporting hero?
It was all about Serena and Venus Williams, even though I didn’t play tennis. My mum Sharon always has it on the TV — she’s a tennis nut.
What would you be if you weren’t a sportswoman?
I would either work in TV or be a drama or maths teacher. My mum, her two sisters and my sister all teach maths.
Hero: Philip is a huge fan of tennis, and Serena Williams in particular

Career highlight?
Winning two world titles — one in trampoline (the double mini girls’  title in 2005) and the other in athletics (the 100m at the 2007 World Youth Championships).
... And the worst moment?
Breaking my leg (at the Trampoline World Championships in 2007). I had got to the point where  I was going to choose between trampoline and athletics but I wanted a final gold medal — and I never got the chance. I had two operations and I was on crutches for so long, but now I’m back, finally.
If your house was burning down, what one possession would you save?
That’s a hard one. Probably pictures: I’ve got some baby photos I’d like to keep.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever been given?
Run fast! No, it was probably from my mum: keep your friends close and your enemies closer. I think that applies to every sport, but particularly in athletics.
What’s the one programme you can’t miss on tv?
Revenge. I’m hooked. If I miss even the first few minutes I have to sit down on my own and watch it all again from start to finish. I can’t help it.
Super fan: Philip loves the John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John film , Grease

Last film you saw?
Probably Grease. It’s the dancing and singing — I love it! If Sister Act was on I would happily watch that... and I would probably know all the words.
Favourite pre-race meal?
As long as it’s got meat in it, I don’t care!
Can you cook? Best dish?
I’m an all right cook. Fried chicken is probably my speciality.
Your favourite holiday destination?
The Maldives. I haven’t been but I just know I would like it!
In a film of your life, who would YOU like to play you?
I’m a tough character to play, but maybe a younger Halle Berry. She’s quite pretty, isn’t she?
Talent: Halle Berry plays a Bond girl
Halle Berry in The Call last year
Multi-talented: Philip would have Halle Berry playing her in a film. She has appeared in James Bond and The Call

If you could have three people, dead or alive, round for dinner, who would they be?
Beyonce for music, Nelson Mandela because I would have loved to have met him and Tyler Perry, the film director.
Tell us a secret...
I’m afraid of pigeons. If I see them coming towards me, even if I’m in the car, I duck because I think they’re going to attack me. They are not afraid of anything, those birds! If I ever have children they will certainly be staying away from Trafalgar Square.
Scary? Philip admits she is terrified of pigeons...

The year was 2000. The location was Ellis Island. This is what the first X-Men movie premiere looked like. You could say it was like a mutated species of a Hollywood red carpet.
Let’s start with what our Wolverine, Hugh Jackman, looked like.

Look how far they’ve come since then!

Um, why was Ashley Judd there?

And Katie Holmes?

Stephen Baldwin too, apparently?

Who told Heidi Klum she could show up with a giant flower in her hair?

Sure, let’s just invite Cyndi Lauper while we’re at it.

Rebecca Romijn (when she was Romijn-Stamos) looking a little buzzed and hanging onto Famke Janssen.

Just hanging on everyone.

Hey, it was her first huge movie, let her live!

Anyway, talk about a time warp!

'I was busting out of the suit!' Halle Berry opens up about being pregnant while shooting X-Men: Days Of Future Past

She's known for having one of the most enviable figures in Hollywood.
But even Halle Berry had trouble fitting into one particular skintight outfit recently.
During an appearance on The Queen Latifah Show on Friday, the 47-year-old revealed filming X-Men Days Of Future Past while three months pregnant nearly caused her to 'bust out' of her superhero costume.

Halle admits producers had to battle with the clock to try and get everything shot before her belly would start to show.
'I was three months pregnant,' she said. 'It was different. I had to shoot really fast.'
While fitting into her character Storm's tight black ensemble normally wouldn't be an issue, her growing baby bump posed new challenges.

'Two weeks was about as much as I could do before I was busting out of the suit,' she said.
She was able to film her role as the weather-creating mutant successfully without a glitch and still look as flawless as ever.
For her appearance on the daytime talk show, Halle was decked out in a pretty brown floral top and black pants.
She wore her brown locks short and sported little make-up on her flawless skin.
