Halle Berry revisits her Catwoman look in skintight leather trousers

She was widely criticised for her role in the 2004 comic book adaptation Catwoman.

But that didn't stop Halle Berry revisiting her feline alter-ego in New York last night, as she stepped out wearing skintight leather trousers reminiscent of the ones worn by the superhero.

The 44-year-old actress teamed her sexy trousers with a pair of thigh-high leather boots, a black top and a shearling gilet.

Halle, who is back in America after shooting new movie Dark Tide in South Africa, was out for dinner with a group of friends at Nuela restaurant in New York.

The mother-of-one caused controversy amongst Catwoman fans when her sexy outfit was first revealed, with many suggesting that Michelle Pfeiffer's take on the superhero in 1992's Batman Returns was better.

However, despite taking the criticism of her role in good spirits, even arriving at the notorious Razzie awards to accept the dubious honour of worst actress, Halle has always defended her decision to star in the comic adaptation.

She said shortly after the film's poor performance at the box office: 'It was definitely different from any other (movie) I had seen. I thought that we needed a better villain, but I was outnumbered in that area.

'You just never know how people are going to respond. I thought that Monster’s Ball was going to end my career. And look what happened. You just never know.'

Meanwhile, Halle's sexy outfits and stunning figure have led to her coming second in a new poll of the most eligible single women in the world.

Halle came in just behind Jennifer Aniston with 21 per cent of the vote in the survey by 60 Minutes and Vanity Fair magazine, despite no longer being single after starting a relationship with her Dark Tide co-star Olivier Martinez.

The pair started dating after striking up a friendship on set, and debuted their romance during a romantic trip to France together.

However, Halle then had to leave Martinez in his home country as she travelled to various other European cities to promote her new fragrance Reveal.

Reveal is the third fragrance for Halle, and smells of mimose, peach, melon, red berries, plumeria, iris, neroli, vetiver, cashmere and musk. 

Talking about the new scent, Halle said: 'Because this is the third one, I have a little bit of experience now. I had an understanding of a direction I wanted it to go.

'With each one, the goal is to make them different, yet the same in that it’s reflective of who I am. I wanted this one to be a little more floral, but the inspiration was still about keeping it classic and easy.'
