Halle Berry planning to move to Europe with daughter Nahla as bitter custody battle with Gabriel Aubry continues

Halle Berry has decided she wants to move to France, and take her daughter with her.

The New Year's Eve actress filed papers at court requesting to move away from Los Angeles to her boyfriend Olivier Martinez's home country.

She will take her three-year-old daughter Nahla with her, but the child's father Gabriel Aubry is not keen on the suggestion.

According to TMZ.com, Berry believes it would be safer for her and her family to be in France.

Aubry is currently being investigated for battery and child endangerment following an alleged altercation with three-year-old Nahla's nanny.

The French-Canadian model is thought to have been angered by the move, thinking it is 'punitive' and would lead to him never seeing his daughter.

The Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Service has advised the pair to go on a course to help them co-parent their daughter.

A source said: 'The report recommends that Halle and Gabriel attend parenting classes together, so that they can co-parent Nahla together.

'The classes will give them the tools to work through their issues, and hopefully become better parents for it.'

Aubry - who is being investigated for child endangerment following the alleged incident - vehemently denies pushing or touching the nanny.

A source told RadarOnline.com last week: 'Social workers have recommended that Halle maintain primary custody of Nahla.

'Nahla spends most of her time with her mother. DCFS has also made a new recommendation that Gabriel not be alone with Nahla.

'Case workers are recommending that a nanny be present with Gabriel during his visitation times. Halle's nanny had been with Nahla when Gabriel had his custodial time from noon until she went to sleep.

'However, after the alleged incident between the nanny and Gabriel, that hasn't been in place, and he has been alone with Nahla. It will be up to the judge to implement the recommendations.'
