Movie star offspring perks: Halle Berry's daughter Nahla hits The Hive set instead of a classroom

By Cassie Carpenter
| She's currently embroiled in an intense custody battle for her daughter Nahla with former boyfriend, Calvin Klein model Gabriel Aubry.
And Halle Berry is set on spending as much time as possible with her adorable four-year-old before the former couple face off in court, even if it means bringing her to work.

The 45-year-old Oscar-winner had a big smile on her face earlier today as she walked past trailers through the South Central Los Angeles set of The Hive while Nahla kept close in a ruffly pink top and denim skirt.

As the mother-daughter duo headed through the set, Berry's substantial entourage included members of the crew, her manager Vincent Cirrincione, a brunette woman, and a little girl companion for Nahla.

Halle kept her famous curves covered up in loose-fitting boyfriend jeans, a sheer orange shirt over a white tank top, and sandals.

The Monster's Ball star, who wore her curly hair loose and appeared to have a make-up free face, later removed the orange top as she was spotted carrying Nahla out of a black SUV.

The spirited youngster with long brown curls has become a constant presence on the set of her mother's thriller where she's seen running around, sitting in the director's chair, and hanging in Halle's trailer.

Last week, the pair also enjoyed a trip to Color Me Mine, a ceramic shop in Beverly Hills.

In the film, Halle plays a 911 emergency operator who takes a call from a teenage girl, played by Little Miss Sunshine's Abigail Breslin, who's been abducted and carried away in the boot of a car.

The kidnapping plays out in real time as the pair work together to track down the killer.

Brad Anderson also directed the clever time travel romance Happy Accidents with Marisa Tomei as well as The Machinist - the film Christian Bale lost an astonishing 63 pounds for in 2004.
But it hasn't been plain sailing for the Die Another Day star since earlier this month she was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Hospital following a fall and hitting her head on the set.

In a statement to MailOnline, Halle's publicist said: 'Halle suffered a minor head injury while shooting a fight sequence on the set of her film.

She was taken to the hospital as a precaution, but she checked out healthy and was released. She'll continue production as planned.'
It's not the first time the Catwoman star has been injured while filming.

Last year, Halle broke her foot while filming the movie adaptation of David Nicholls' novel Cloud Atlas in Spain.

It was reported at the time that her injury occurred in between filming as she spent time with Nahla at the property she was renting in Palma de Mallorca.

The Wachowskis' Cloud Atlas is a highly-anticipated epic adventure-drama, in which Halle plays two characters- Luisa Rey and Meronym - alongside Tom Hanks, Jim Broadbent, Susan Sarandon, and Hugh Grant.

The film, featuring six interlocking stories beginning in the 1800s and progressing to the future, is set to be released on October 26.

Meanwhile, Berry has hired the best legal guns in LA and taken Gabriel to court dozens of times in a bid to gain full custody of Nahla.

The actress has said she wants to move with her daughter to France to live with actor fiancé, Olivier Martinez.

Aubry is requesting the courts that the girl stay in Malibu, where Halle now has a home, because she'll be able to safely attend local schools.

Halle insists, though, that life in Hollywood is unsafe under the ever present paparazzi.

The case is due to go to trial soon and the parents are expected to take the stand against one another.
