Halle Berry in sheer leather and gauze dress at Cloud Atlas Moscow premiere

Halle Berry dares to bare in sheer leather and gauze dress as she makes an impact at Cloud Atlas premiere

It's the kind of dress that in the wrong hands could end up looking rather tacky.
But with Halle Berry's perfect curves poured inside, she managed to carry it off - just.
The actress chose a daring black leather frock with sheer gauze panels for the Russian premiere of her new movie Cloud Atlas.
While the leather was strategically positioned to keep her modesty, it left much of her body on show.

She matched the dress with black pointy shoes and long dangling earrings, posing on the red carpet with hands on hips and wearing a slightly saucy expression.
But compared to her costume changes in Cloud Atlas, Halle's red carpet choice was positively boring.
The 46-year-old actress plays six different characters that bypass ethnic and gender lines - from an aged Korean man to a German-Jewish woman.

She told Entertainment Weekly that her four-year-old daughter Nahla was horrified to see her mother in character.
'The real test was that my daughter saw all of my costumes, and loved them, but one day, when I came up to her as Dr Ovid, she looked at the guy, and thought he was probably weird, because of his eye thing,' she said.
'Then when I said, "Hi sweetheart," she had an out of body experience.
'I swear I saw her little spirit leave her body and go to Cleveland. She’s still not over it. It was so terrifying for her, to hear my voice coming out of that man.'

But aside from scary experiences, Halle appears to be at a perfect place in her life.
But, as she told talk show host Wendy Williams in an interview that aired Thursday, Nahla would like one more thing in life - a sibling.
'Every night, we do our prayers,' Halle said. 'We pray to God, so sweet. She says, "God, please bring me a bunk bed and a baby sister."
'And I say, "I can do one of those things, I know for sure. The other one, we’ve got to keep praying on."'
Halle mused, 'What do you say to her when she wants that and can’t understand why God’s taken so long?'

She added: 'I’m a much better mother at 46 — or 41, when I had her — than if I were like 21 or 25.
'I mean I was just a little baby just trying to figure it out — trying to figure out who I was, let alone having the responsibility of trying to help another little soul develop and grow. I’m so glad I waited.'
Halle became the envy of women everywhere when she began dating French actor Olivier Martinez 2010, becoming engaged last March.
Whether or not she intends to have another child is something she's keeping quiet about, for now.
For the time being, Halle's just enjoying Nahla's childhood.
On October 30, Halle took Nahla to Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch in West Hollywood, and Nahla got to clown around in white face paint and a tutu.

'She’s just a little kid, and I just want her to be a little kid, and have normalcy and be like everybody else,' Halle told Williams.
'As her mom, that’s my job — to provide her with that, you know? It’s frustrating when you feel like you can’t.'

Her little Strawberry Shortcake! Halle Berry and dressed up daughter Nahla venture down the pumpkin patch slide together

She's usually very regal and composed in the public eye.
But a barefoot Halle Berry was spotted letting loose as she joined her daughter Nahla down the super-slide at Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch in West Hollywood Tuesday.

Easily defying her 46 years, the Oscar winner looked flawless as usual in her stylishly asymmetrical grey tie-dye tank top, black jodhpur pants, and chic black booties.
Her adorable four-year-old appeared to be dressed in a make-shift Strawberry Shortcake Halloween costume with clownish make-up, pink striped pajamas, old-fashioned bloomers, and a dotted tulle skirt.
The pixie-haired beauty had also applied temporary hair color spray on Nahla in order to transform her little girl's beautiful brown curls crimson.

Halle's daughter must have had quite a tumble down the slide since she was later seen leaving the festive patch with smudged black eyebrows.
The doting mother-of-one also made sure to grab little Nahla a frozen treat to enjoy as they walked amongst the pumpkins.
Berry recently told Ellen Degeneres that she plans to wear a giant cupcake costume to take her toddler trick or treating on Wednesday night.

Not seen today was Halle's fiancé of two years Olivier Martinez, whom posed with the gorgeous actress as she walked the red carpet for the Cloud Atlas Hollywood premiere last week.
The Monster’s Ball actress transforms into six different characters for the epic sci-fi drama, including a German-Jewish woman, a Maori slave, and an old Asian man named Dr. Ovid, which 'scared the hell' out of Nahla.
'The real test was that my daughter saw all of my costumes, and loved them, but one day, when I came up to her as Dr. Ovid, she looked at the guy, and thought he was probably weird, because of his eye thing,' Berry told Entertainment Weekly.

Halle is still locked in a bitter custody battle with Nahla's father, her ex-partner Gabriel Aubry, and she is trying to move Nahla to Paris.

According to TMZ, the judge in the former Bond girl's custody case is ready to rule on her request.
Sources tell the website that both Halle and Gabriel's lawyers have closed their cases and are waiting for the judge's decision.
The former couple may also appear in court as the judge has apparently said that he doesn't want to send a written decision to the pair's respective lawyers.
Next year, the X-Men star will appear in the Brad Anderson thriller The Hive with Abigail Breslin and the comedy Shoe Addicts Anonymous.

Happy Halle-ween! Holiday treat for star Berry and daughter Nahla

HALLE Berry hurtles down a massive slide with daughter Nahla on a Halloween day out.
The Monster’s Ball star, dressed casually in drop-crotch jeans and a grey T-shirt, took the four-year-old to Mr Bones Pumpkin Patch for some holiday fun yesterday.
She kicked off her shoes for the high-speed slide and was clearly having a whale of a time as they tore towards the bottom.
Nahla, Halle’s daughter from her relationship with Gabriel Aubry, was dressed in a pink striped costume with a blue tutu and old-fashioned bloomers.
Temporary red dye gave her long flaming locks and her face was painted with pink freckled cheeks and false eye-lashes.

Halle put the bitter custody battle with Canadian model Aubry behind her as she enjoyed the Halloween treat.
The 46-year-old, who is now engaged to Olivier Martinez, has been fighting to move the family to France and US reports suggest the judge is ready to rule in her favour.

She planned to take Nahla trick-or-treating tonight – dressed in a giant cupcake outfit.
But she recently gave her daughter a real fright when she transformed into an elderly Asian man for her new movie Cloud Atlas, which sees her playing six different characters.

'I met my fiancé on a s**t movie!' Halle Berry pans the film that brought her and Olivier Martinez together

'I met my fiancé on a s**t movie!' Halle Berry pans the film that brought her and Olivier Martinez together

As an Academy Award winner, you'd expect Halle Berry to be a dab hand when it comes to observing the rules of Hollywood etiquette.
But the 46-year-old committed the cardinal sin when she admitted to Chelsea Lately that the film she met her fiancé Olivier Martinez, 46, on was 's**t'.
Luckily, she managed to talk up her latest project, the big screen adaptation of David Mitchell's best-selling, Cloud Atlas... despite its so so critical reception.
Scroll down to watch Halle chat to Chelsea...

Mommy and Nahla: Halle does on her 4-year-old

But she was refreshingly open about how it feels to see herself in a box office turkey.
'You don't expect it to be as bad as it is sometimes,' she told host Chelsea Handler according to Us Magazine. 'Then it comes out, and you think, 'F**k. That's what I did?'"
But Handler pointed out: 'You met your fiance on a movie.'
'On a sh**t movie,' Berry said of Dark Tide, a $25million thriller that came out earlier this year and earned less than $500,000 at the box office.
The flick co-starred Olivier Martinez, who the actress has been dating since filming finished in 2010.
Berry has a 4-year-old daughter, Nahla, with ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry.
The pair are locked in a bitter custody battle as Berry wants to relocate to France with Martinez, citing safety reasons.
Her wish has not yet been granted though both her lawyer and Aubry's have submitted all their evidence to court.
She was previously married to baseball player David Justice and R&B singer Eric Benet.
'It was s***!' Halle holds her hands up to being involved with a dud, but at least she met Olivier

She admitted that she loves her four-year-old so much that she's prepared to dress up like a giant cupcake to take her trick or treating on Halloween night.
So it's perhaps understandable that Halle Berry, 46, looked a little downcast in Beverly Hills today as she spent time alone while daughter Nahla saw her father.

Halle is believed to be waiting to discover if she can get her little one to live with her in France along with Martinez.
But for now, she must allow her youngster to spend time with the French Canadian model.

Halle Berry, Michelle Yeoh and Carey Lowell look back with fondness and pride on their 007 roles

Halle Berry, Michelle Yeoh and Carey Lowell look back with fondness and pride on their 007 roles

'It's movie history, and to be a part of that is amazing,' says 'Die Another Day's' Berry

They loved working with the spy who loved them.
As past Bond girls Halle Berry, Michelle Yeoh and Carey Lowell reminisced to the Daily News about their 007 duties, one thing was clear: Each considered it a highlight, in one way or another.
“It was something I can honestly tell you I’m proud I was a part of,” Berry says about her memorable turn as Jinx Johnson in 2002’s “Die Another Day.”
“It’s movie history, and to be a part of that [is] amazing.
“That franchise lives on and on, so there’s something they’re doing right.”

One of the things they did right was introduce Jinx — who comes out of the ocean in a bikini, with a knife strapped to her waist — in an homage to Ursula Andress’ introduction in 1962’s “Dr. No.”
While being a Bond girl doesn’t trump her Best Actress Oscar, Berry, 46, does say she feels blessed to be part of a pantheon that includes some of the most beautiful actresses that have worked in movies.
“I’m in pretty good company,” Berry says. “It’s definitely something that I’m really proud of.”
Carey Lowell also finds her turn in a Bond film a thing of pride. Lowell was a 27-year-old model with a handful of small acting roles to her credit when she auditioned to play Pam Bouvier, an ex-CIA agent and pilot who teams up with Bond (Timothy Dalton, in his second and final appearance as 007) in 1989’s “Licence to Kill.”
“I didn’t fall into the category of the ‘classic Bond girl,’” Lowell, 51, says. “I had short hair — and no Bond girl before me ever had. They put me in a wig at the beginning of the film and then had my character cut her hair to pretend to be someone else. That was to explain why my hair was short.
“I think the Bond movies were going through a transition then,” Lowell continues. “But it was still a Bond movie. I was really flattered to be chosen.
“Hey, once a Bond girl, always a Bond girl. It will always be a big deal — it’s an exclusive club.”
That club got an esteemed member when martial arts-movie superstar Michelle Yeoh came aboard for 1997’s “Tomorrow Never Dies.”
In the course of the franchise, there had never been a Bond girl quite like Yeoh’s Wai Lin, who served notice that she was more than a match for 007 when she’s introduced scaling the wall of a villain’s base using only a wire.
“As that was my first English-language film, it was important to me to play an action hero — and not just be a notch on Bond’s bedpost,” Yeoh, 49, says.
Fifteen years later, she still has fond memories of working with the Bond team and especially Pierce Brosnan, in his sophomore 007 film.
“Remembering how I fought for control of a [moving] motorbike with Pierce always makes me smile,” Yeoh says.
