Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubry are parents to a 4-year-old daughter, Nahla.
Halle Berry’s baby daddy reportedly wants some serious scratch from the “Catwoman” star.
Gabriel Aubry is asking a Los Angeles judge to award him $20,000 a month in child support and half a million dollars in attorney’s fees, TMZ reported.
Aubrey was in court Thursday but didn’t have his paperwork in order, so a ruling on the request was postponed, TMZ said.
According to the website, sources said Aubry believes he’s entitled to the money because he needs a proper environment to care for the 4-year-old daughter he shares with Berry.
Berry, meanwhile, has asked for the court’s permission to move to Paris with the child and her new fiancé, French actor Olivier Martinez.
She told Extra the move would help protect little Nahla from paparazzi and her ongoing stalker drama.
“Yeah, there are laws like (that) in France, which is the reason I want go there,” she said. “Laws that protect children, protect right to privacy. All I want is for my family and myself to have a normal life. When I'm not at work, that's very important to me.”
The Oscar winner was photographed scouting schools in Paris two months ago, even though Aubry is fighting the move and their judge has yet to make a final ruling.
“It’s not one photographer hiding in the bushes, it’s 20, 30 very close to us, causing commotion,” Berry told Extra. “I’m not complaining about me. I’m an adult. I can handle it. But children should not be subject to that. It’s just wrong.”
Berry’s lawyer hopes to prove that Aubry works only sporadically as a model, so his schedule would allow him plenty of time to travel back and forth to visit Nahla overseas, TMZ said.
The screen siren, 45, gave birth to Nahla in 2008 after meeting Aubry at a Versace photo shoot in 2005.
The couple split in April 2010.
A few months after their breakup, Berry told Vogue that she and Aubry, 36, hoped to work out a peaceful custody arrangement.
“We were meant to bring this amazing little person into the world. And I think that’s why we came together. And because of that, we are going to be together forever,” she said at the time. “We are a family until we are not here anymore.”
