'Lingerie has always been my thing': Halle Berry reveals the 'TMI' secrets behind her new Scandale intimates collection on Extra

Halle Berry has a figure that's to die for, which makes her the perfect person to create a lingerie line.
The 48-year-old actress spared few details while promoting the affordable intimates collection she recently unveiled with Scandale.
Halle confessed that she lives, breathes and sleeps in brassieres, and has since she was a teenager in a new interview with Extra's Terri Seymour.

'I love it. Lingerie has always been my thing so to be able to create a brand and create a line, it's something that I've always loved,' Halle said.
'I have worn a bra and slept in a bra - probably TMI - since I was 16 years old. My mother taught me the importance of that and taking care of my body from that end.
'So undergarments and lingerie have been really important to me. If you don't want your boobs on your knees, it's very important,' the star added laughingly.

The Extant star was casuallly chic in khaki trousers and a black halterneck top that showed off her toned arms and shoulders.
And behind her was a blow-up black-and-white advert photo, along with selections of lingerie.
But Halle wasn't there to just talk about undergarments as she revealed her trip to Nicaragua was a learning experience for both her and her seven-year-old daughter Nahla who accompanied her there.
Praise: The Extant star gushed that Nahla 'really understood how blessed and how fortunate she is, and she realised it's her duty to help out' following their mother-daughter trip to Nicaragua

'I went there with the World Food Programme,' Halle described. 'It was a chance for me to go and see first hand the need and what was happening over there, how to feed the children, and see where all the money that I've been helping to raise is actually going.
'But the most important part was I got to take my daughter with me on that trip and she was forever changed... she got it, she got why we work so hard to raise money, why it's important to have her lemonade stands and send money overseas to places that she's never seen.
'She really understood how blessed and how fortunate she is, and she realised it's her duty to help out.
Working mom: Halle, pictured on Saturday, told Extra that juggling motherhood with her full-time career is easier for her because she can bring her kids to work, adding, 'There's a play place for my kids'

'I didn't have to preach. I just kept my mouth shut and let her watch. She figured that out for herself,' said Halle, who also shares an 18-month-old son, Maceo, with husband Olivier Martinez.
With Extant now in its second season, Halle must juggle motherhood with full-time career.
'Luckily in our jobs, we can bring our kids to work. Not everybody is that fortunate. There's a play place for my kids. Nahla loves to ride around on the golf cart. It's the only place she gets to "drive."'
Nahla, her daughter with ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry, 'is into playing dress up and fashion shows... you will not find her in a tree. She's in the salon with me trying on my make-up.'
The tot is quite the big sister to Maceo too, as Halle told Terri: 'She's very protective of him. She's all but said, "Girls, look out."'

Extant
CBS has released a few pics for executive producer Steven Spielberg‘s CBS’ Sci-Fi Drama‘Extant,’ starring Halle Berry and set to begin its second season on Wednesday, July 1 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT)
Produced by Steven Spielberg, the series will center on a female astronaut trying to reconnect with her family, after she returns home after a year in space. Her experiences lead to events that ultimately change the course of human history.
Extant Season 2 - Halle Berry and Jeffrey Dean Morgan 1
After spending a year in space, where she lived and conducted strange experiments, astronaut Molly Watts (Halle Berry) tries to resume a normal life with her family consisting of her husband, John, a gifted scientist, and Ethan (Pierce Gagnon), their son, a boy like no the other. He is not their biological son as Molly is infertile. Ethan was designed by his father as the first prototype of a future line of “Humanichs”, “human robots”. But the return of Molly has dramatic consequences for the entire planet and the fate of mankind.
The new season will have Jeffrey Dean Morgan as JD Richter. Richter is a roguish womanizer and a cop of the future who is a mercenary/bounty hunter. He is free-wheeling, hard-drinking and fearless, bordering on reckless, mostly because he’s got nothing to lose. He is the everyman who thought he had seen everything until Molly Woods (Halle Berry) enters his life. Also, Melina Kanakaredes (CSI: NY) will appear in two episodes as Dorothy, a tightly wound, by-the-book circuit court judge who also happens to be the estranged wife of JD.
The Walking Dead’s David Morrissey has also joined the series as General Tobias Shepherd, who leads the Global Security Commission. He is rather personable and has a history with Halle Berry’s Molly — a connection that makes his job tougher in light of a new, deadly threat.
Also cast in the series are Goran Visnjic, Grace Gummer, Camryn Manheim, Kiersey Clemons.
