Heavily pregnant Halle Berry masters maternity chic as she stops by the grocery store

Any day now! Heavily pregnant Halle Berry masters maternity chic as she stops by the grocery store

She is expected to give birth to her second child sometime in the fall.
But the gorgeous and heavily pregnant Halle Berry was showing no signs of slowing down on Friday as she embarked on a solo mission to stock up on groceries at Bristol Farms.
The 47-year-old actress was beyond beautiful in her chic arrangement of comfortable yet highly stylish maternity pieces as she breezed in and out of the Beverly Hills grocery store.

Halle had her colour scheme down-pat, allowing gentle shades of beige and cream to flatter her stunning body in her final days of pregnancy.
A loosely knitted cream tank top delicately hugged her belly, which she topped with a lengthy and similarly coloured wool cardigan.
The Cloud Atlas star teamed the demure garments with a chic wrap skirt, with soft folds of fabric ensuring she walked in comfort.

Halle was sensible enough to keep her footwear light and comfortable, donning a pair of gold rubber flip flops for the grocery run.
And if the actress was in the least bit physically compromised by her heavily pregnant state, she certainly did not show it.
She breezed out of the popular upmarket food store on a mission, even making use of her growing pregnant belly by balancing a grocery bag on it.
Ticking clock: Halle and her husband Olivier Martinez have not officially announced the due date, though she is expected to give birth in the fall

Halle and her husband Olivier Martinez have yet to disclose the exact due date of their baby.
But they have revealed that she is pregnant with a little boy, who is expected to arrive some time this fall.
This will be Halle's second child, as she already has a five-year-old daughter Nahla from her past relationship with model Gabriel Aubry.
And she is thrilled to be pregnant again, having previously called the conception a 'miracle' due to her older age.

Showing her natural sense of style, the 47-year-old actress wore a lightweight midi dress, accented with a tattered high-slit.
With a nod to fall fashion, the X-Men star layered a loose, knit pullover vest on top of her bluish-grey frock.
Keeping with her casual cool look, Halle opted to wear a pair of embellished, silver T-strap sandals on her feet, matching her metallic handbag.
And, of course, it was hard to miss her giant sparkler, as she waited outside the Italian eatery with her sparkling hand resting on her bourgeoning bump.

Brad Anderson Explains How He Put The Suspense Into His New Thriller, The Call - bleedingcool

Brad Anderson Explains How He Put The Suspense Into His New Thriller, The Call -bleedingcool.com

the call posterIt’s been a long time coming but The Call will be in UK cinemas this Friday, 20th September. It’s cellphone-era chase thriller with Halle Berry, Abigail Breslin and Michael Imperioli.
The film was originally going to be called The Hive, for its setting in a 911 call-centre and I think I prefer that title but, well, bees. People would have been confused, I suppose.
Like all of director Brad Anderson‘s previous films, The Call is a genre film. You literally couldn’t tell this story as recently as twenty five years ago, yet the film is still rooted in very, very old genre tropes, albeit freshly twisted.
I spoke to Anderson about what this means, and about how, when he’s working in the suspense or thriller genre, he generates the right feeling and tension.
Here’s some of what he told me.
Suspense is a lot about timing. It’s about building up an expectation with the audience before either fulfilling it or not fulfilling it. It’s a lot about how you time out a scene and then toy with an audience’s expectations. Audiences are very savvy, they understand the conventions of a genre, they can anticipate what’s going to happen more so than ever before. Trying to stay ahead of them and not let them get ahead of you is much of the battle.
With every scene in every movie you start with what’s on the page. You block that action out, working with the actors. Placing the camera so that he audience gleans information that the characters don’t can go a long way in creating suspense. An example of this in the movie is the scene in the parking lot with an intense conversation. We know the woman is in the trunk. Suspense can be built through that casual conversation they’re having, because the audience knows about the girl in the trunk of the car but the good samaritan character doesn’t realise it. In planning a scene like that was about the actors choosing what level of suspiciousness the good samaritan character would have.
And the use of music and sound design is another tool you have to enhance a suspenseful moment. A lot of times, dropping music out in a suspenseful scene will keep the audience on the edge of their seat. There isn’t a music cue telling them when to leap out of their seat or when to anticipate the shocking moment. Music and sound design are fun to play with because you can use them to mess with the audience’s preconceptions and what they expect.
When you’re editing the film together, a lot of plans change. You can change, expand or stretch out a suspense moment editorially. You always spend a lot of time tinkering in the editing room but especially on a movie like this. You change just a few frames here, a few frames there, and sometimes that can make the difference between a scene being very effective or just somewhat effective. That’s the fun of the process, I think.
If by ‘genre’ you mean classic stories that fit into a particular mould, to me, those are fun movies to make. I’m always drawn to genre movies as long as there’s some angle which allows you to approach it in a smart, interesting way and not make another cookie cutter film. There’s always got to be some angle or twist to give it something you can do, even cinematically, that sets it apart from the genre. There are these pre-established rules and things that audiences expect and the fun is in where you stick to this and where you go against them.
Thanks again to Brad for taking the time to talk with me. The Call is in UK cinemas this Friday; the US DVD and Blu-ray release was a couple of months ago.

In the high-stakes, edge-of-your-seat thriller The Call, a thin thread of survival separates a teenage kidnap victim from her only hope: a compassionate, steady voice on the other end of a cell phone marshaling all the resources she can to find her.

Veteran 911 Emergency Call Center operator Jordan (Halle Berry) has the kind of job that’s not for the faint of heart: navigating the public’s distress in order to save lives. But when a young woman’s frantic report of a prowler ends tragically, Jordan is devastated. Reassessing her life, Jordan wonders if perhaps she’s experienced her last fraught-filled phone call. With a supportive cop (Morris Chestnut) for a boyfriend, maybe it’s time to step back, enjoy life, and teach others the ins and outs of her high-pressure profession.

That lifeline to strangers isn’t over yet, though. When average American teenager Casey (Abigail Breslin), is abducted by a serial killer (Michael Eklund), she manages to place a 911 call from the trunk of the killer’s car.

Jordan, leading a group of new recruits through the massive Call Center operation, is in earshot of the call. It’s an all-too familiar scenario for this experienced public servant, but before long, Casey’s situation reveals itself as eerily, shockingly familiar. There’s only one thing Jordan can do: take charge in a way she’s never done before. She must turn Casey into a partner in helping them track down the killer, and prove that this call is Jordan’s calling.

TriStar Pictures and Stage 6 Films present in association with Troika Pictures, WWE Studios and Amasia Entertainment, A Troika Pictures and WWE Studios production, The Call, starring Halle Berry (Monster’s Ball, Cloud Atlas), Abigail Breslin (Little Miss Sunshine, New Year’s Eve), Morris Chestnut (Identity Thief, Think Like a Man), Michael Eklund (The Divide), and Michael Imperioli (“The Sopranos”). Brad Anderson (The Machinist), directed the screenplay written by Richard D’Ovidio (Exit Wounds, Thir13en Ghosts), from a story written by Richard D’Ovidio & Nicole D’Ovidio & Jon Bokencamp (Perfect Stranger).

Jeff Graup, Michael J. Luisi, Robert L. Stein, Michael A. Helfant, and Bradley Gallo are the film’s producers. William C. Gallo, Philip M. Cohen, Dale Rosenbloom and Guy J. Louthan are executive producers.

Rounding out Anderson’s team are director of photography Thomas Yatsko (“Fringe”), production designer Franco-Giacomo Carbone (The Expendables), film editor Avi Youabian, music by John Debney, costume designer Magali Guidasci, and casting by Sheila Jaffe and Vanessa Spencer.
