She's known for having one of the most enviable figures in Hollywood.

But even Halle Berry had trouble fitting into one particular skintight outfit recently.

During an appearance on The Queen Latifah Show on Friday, the 47-year-old revealed filming X-Men Days Of Future Past while three months pregnant nearly caused her to 'bust out' of her superhero costume.

Halle admits producers had to battle with the clock to try and get everything shot before her belly would start to show.

'I was three months pregnant,' she said. 'It was different. I had to shoot really fast.'

While fitting into her character Storm's tight black ensemble normally wouldn't be an issue, her growing baby bump posed new challenges.

'Two weeks was about as much as I could do before I was busting out of the suit,' she said.

She was able to film her role as the weather-creating mutant successfully without a glitch and still look as flawless as ever.

For her appearance on the daytime talk show, Halle was decked out in a pretty brown floral top and black pants.

She wore her brown locks short and sported little make-up on her flawless skin.

Queen Latifah then asked if she ever wears her character's iconic white wig in her personal life.

'Well my husband wishes I would,' she joked referring to her spouse Olivier Martinez.

Halle and Olivier were married in a private ceremony in his native France in July.

X-Men: Days Of Future Past, co-starring Hugh Jackman and Jennifer Lawrence, opens on May 23.

She hasn't been seen since giving birth to her son at the start of October.

But Halle Berry stepped back into the public eye on Saturday night, and she looked better than ever.

The actress debuted her very slender post-pregnancy figure as she took daughter Nahla to see a live stage performance of The Lion King at the Pantages Theater in Hollywood along with husband Olivier Martinez.

In superhuman form, the 47-year-old appears to have pinged right back into shape, showing off her slim frame in a pair of tight-fitting black trousers.

She did, however, cover up her top half, teaming the bottoms with a baggy grey sweater worn underneath a patchwork cape complete with hood. 

She accessorised with a pair of MANGO black wedge suede sneakers with four leather straps and a black clutch bag.

With minimal makeup on her complexion, the new mother glowed as she and her family made their way through the sea of audience members.

French actor Olivier, also 47, was seen carrying a sleepy Nahla, who was dozing off on her step father's shoulder.

The couple no doubt left their newborn at home with a caretaker as they enjoyed the family night out.

The Oscar winning actress gave birth to her baby boy in Los Angeles two months ago.

It is the first child for Halle and Olivier, with the Die Another Day star sharing five-year-old Nahla with ex-fiancé Gabriel Aubry.

E! Online reported at the time of the birth that Halle had delivered her bundle of joy at Cedars Sinai Hospital, where countless celebrity children have been born over the years.

The delivery came just a day after the Catwoman star had been spotted out in West Hollywood at restaurant Rivabella, looking ready to pop in a sheer shirt covering her huge bump.

During her pregnancy, Halle revealed that she was thrilled to be expecting again, having previously called the conception a 'miracle' due to her older age.

As for the first-time dad, the Parisian S.W.A.T. actor told People: 'My son will remain an American, but I will remain French,' he explained. 'I remain a Frenchman in America, but I adapt to American culture.'

Halle and Olivier were married in a stunning ceremony in Vallery, France, in July, where she wore a beautiful Jenny Packham gown.

While motherhood is obviously the only thing on her mind right now, the actress recently signed on to star in a serialised drama coming to CBS next summer called Extant, a 13-episode thriller.

She will play an astronaut trying to reconnect with her family when she returns after a year in outer space. Her experiences lead to events that change the course of history.

The series is being made in partnership with Steven Spielberg's Amblin Television, which made last summer's surprise hit for CBS, Under the Dome.

Actress Halle Berry surprised everybody naming her newborn son Maceo Robert Martinez.

So, what’s in a name?

The Oscar-winning actress and husband Olivier Martinez welcomed baby Maceo upon his arrival this past Saturday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, Calif.

Martinez who made a name for himself in his homeland France, acting in movies such as “un, deux, trois, soleil“  or “1,2,3, Freeze” is originally from the suburbs of Paris but chose the name Maceo because of its meaning and relation to his Spanish ancestry.

Maceo or “Gift from God” was a name the couple picked some months back, a nod to Martinez’s father who was born in Spain.

Maceo is Berry and Martinez’s first child together. He is also be Nahla Ariela’s first little brother. Nahla is the 47-year-old actress’ daughter from a previous relationship with model Gabriel Aubry.

Halle Berry to raise son as an American

Martinez is French with a Spanish background, likewise Berry is also of mixed descent.

She was born Maria Halle Berry but her name was switched to Halle Maria Berry when she turned five. Her mother was white of English and German ancestry and her father was African American.

Of races and nationalities Martinez has said, “My son will remain an American, but I will remain French. I remain a Frenchman in America, but I adapt to American culture. I feel good there– But I’m still a foreigner.”

In his interview with People magazine in late June he again confirmed “My son will be an American.”

In a previous article, VOXXI touched upon the fact that Bruno Mars, born Peter Hernandez, had changed his last name to avoid being stereotyped as a Latino singer by music industry executives. We wonder if Halle Berry’s son Maceo’s last name might raise some questions about his identity in the future.

Just how effective are last names in identifying what ancestry, country or ethnicity to assign to a person? Does a last name make a person Latino?

One thing is certain: culture, appearance, ethnicity and race are all ingredients in the cooking pot of identity. So when the cooking timer sounds off,  will we be able to answer “Who is Latino?”

What's old is new again for Halle Berry and her husband Olivier Martinez.

On Monday the name of their son, born Saturday in Los Angeles, was leaked and it's rather unusual.

The couple have chosen Maceo as the first name for their child, according to TMZ.

They reportedly selected for a middle name Robert, after the French actor's Spanish father. The last name is Martinez.

Maceo originally comes from Spain and was popular from the ninth to 14th centuries. It morphed into Matteo then Matthew over time.

The name translates to Gift Of God. It's easy to figure out how Halle landed on that name because she several times said her pregnancy was a 'miracle.'

On the day Maceo was born, Halle's first child, daughter Nahla, was seen holding the hand of her birth father, model Gabriel Aubry.

She looked excited as the two strolled on the sidewalk.

Halle Berry is celebrating being a mother again.

The Oscar winning actress gave birth to a baby boy in Los Angeles on Saturday, who is the first child for Halle and husband Olivier Martinez. 

This is the second child for the 47-year-old Die Another Day star, who has a five-year-old daughter, Nahla, with ex-fiancé Gabriel Aubry.

Halle Berry was looking very pregnant indeed on Sunday as she enjoyed a trip to the bowling alley with her husband Olivier Martinez and playful five-year-old daughter Nahla.

The 47-year-old actress appeared incredibly fit and able as she showed off her ever-growing baby bump in a tight black top on the sunny Los Angeles day.

Halle continued her winning streak on the maternity style front, looking beautiful in a striped skirt that fell to her feet on one side and showed off her long, toned legs on the other.

She teamed the skirt with a casually elegant black cowneck top, falling on a flattering angle as it delicately hugged her tummy.

The Monster's Ball actress wisely opted for flip flops to stay comfortable in this late stage of her pregnancy and shielded her face with a chic pair of Ray Bans.

Little Nahla, who is Halle's daughter from her previous relationship with model Gabriel Aubry, looked to be having a whale of a time with the shutterbugs, poking her tongue out to her heart's content.

The stunning actress has been impressively active throughout this stage of her pregnancy, opting to continue running errands and being independent when others might have retired to the couch by now.

Halle and Olivier have yet to disclose the exact due date of their baby.

But they have revealed that she is pregnant with a little boy, who is expected to arrive some time this fall.
