She will soon start promoting her next movie Kidnap, a thriller which hits cinemas in May.
But Halle Berry focused on family time on Sunday.
The 49-year-old enjoyed a casual lunch date with her mother Judith Hawkins at Cafe Med in West Hollywood.

The Oscar-winning actress pulled her mom in for a gentle embrace as they spoke with a pal out in the parking lot.
Standing hip-to-hip, Halle and Judith both had their arms slung around each other as they caught up with another friend. The actress was make-up free and dressed in her absolute casual best, keeping it cosy in a loose peasant style top with frayed edges for a more relaxed touch.
She also donned a pair of slouchy black harem trousers and black gladiator sandals that wrapped around her ankles.

Halle has been mostly out of the limelight since announcing in October her split from Olivier Martinez, who she shares two-year-old Maceo with.
She also has daughter Nahla, seven, from her previous relationship with model Gabriel Aubry.
Halle recently made an appearance at the AOL Makers Conference in Rancho Palos Verde earlier this month to talk about African-American women in film, where she broke her silence on the issue of diversity at this year's Academy Awards.

She said it was 'heartbreaking' to think that following her Oscar win in 2001 for Monster's Ball, diversity is still an issue in Hollywood.
'Our cities are filled with black and brown people. And many times, unfortunately we see films that are set in Chicago, New York, Atlanta — big metropolitan cities — and they're devoid of people of color,' she said during an on stage Q&A.
Halle continued: 'So I feel like when we really live up to our responsibility and challenge ourselves to be truthful, and tell the truth in our storytelling, then people of color will be there in a real competitive way, and it won't be about inclusion or diversity. Because if we're telling the truth, inclusion and diversity will be a byproduct of the truth.'
