For those of us up late at night concerned about Halle Berry's high-risk pregnancy at age 46, fear not. It appears that the pregnancy, at the very least, will not affect her role in the upcoming "X-Men" film.
As if that makes anything any better.
Director Bryan Singer teased fans with Berry's return to the franchise in a tweeted photo of the Oscar-winning actress smiling in her all-black costume. Berry confirmed her appearance in "X-Men: Days of Future Past" on "The Tonight Show" in March, and she'll reprise her role as the weather-manipulating mutant Storm. "Storm watch #HalleBerry #XMen #DaysOfFuturePast," Singer tweeted Monday. PHOTOS: Hollywood baby boom The photo showed Berry, currently pregnant with her second child, holding up her cape and wearing Storm's bright wig. Her baby bump was strategically concealed by the sexy mutant's utility belt. The director continued his barrage of teasing tidbits from the set of the new film, which he's currently filming in Montreal. One tweet included a behind-the-scenes photo of Patrick Stewart, who plays Professor Charles Xavier. And it appears that the wheelchair-using character is standing. "Picture before picture. Tomorrow it begins. @SirPatStew #XMen #DaysOfFuturePast," Singer wrote. Another photo potentially signaled the return of the mutant-detecting chamber Cerebro, one showed the tracking marks on Iceman actor Shawn Ashmore's face and another showed the big-budget film's wardrobe room. And then there's a Vine video, below, that has Ian McKellan, who plays Magneto, sitting in a hair-and-makeup chair. The film is based on one of the most well-known story lines of the "Uncanny X-Men" comic books, and this installment sees the mutants traveling in time to change a major historical event that could globally influence both man and mutants, according to the film's synopsis. That explains why we're seeing the franchise's original actors from 2000 to 2006 mash up with those of the 2011 prequel "X-Men: First Class." The film's roster currently includes Jennifer Lawrence, Hugh Jackman, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Ellen Page, Anna Paquin and Nicholas Hoult. "Game of Thrones" star Peter Dinklage and French actor Omar Sy have also been added to the cast, though their roles have not yet been announced. "X-Men: Days of Future Past" is set to arrive in theaters July 18, 2014. Storm cover: New X-Men suit hides Halle’s Belly

HALLE Berry hides her baby bump as she poses on the set of the new X-Men film.Costume designers on the Marvel movie must have gone in to overdrive when she announced last month she was pregnant - Halle's character, Storm, is renowned for her skin-tight leather catsuit as well as for her superpowers. But director Bryan Singer seems happy with the result – tweeting the first picture of the 46-year-old beauty on set. And he wrote: “Storm watch #HalleBerry #XMen #DaysOfFuturePast.” The Oscar-winning actress, who announced she was expecting a baby with fiance Oliver Martinez, hid her growing tum under a thick utility belt. The iconic outfit has changed dramatically from the sleek, flat-fronted suit of the original X-Men movie, which showed every curve of her body. It now features a more jacket style top with short sleeves, bigger shoulder-pads and side panels. And a flap has been added at the waist, along with the belt, to disguise her blooming figure. Storm’s hair has also evolved – swapping the long silver locks for a short tousled look. Shooting on the seventh X-Men movie began last week and the tweeted picture suggests Halle’s scenes have been pulled forward to shoot first, because of her impending arrival. It is also rumoured that Storm’s more physical fight scenes have been dropped. Halle is already mum to five-year-old Nahla, by ex Gabriel Aubrey. The new movie includes a host of past X-Men stars including Jennifer Lawrence, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart. Hugh Jackman – who plays Wolverine – will also be the only actor to appear in the entire X-Men series.
