The holidays are always a tricky time for parents embroiled in a bitter break up.
And just days after Halle Berry lost her court battle with ex Gabriel Aubry to move their daughter Nahla to Paris, where she hoped to join new love Olivier Martinez, all the players in the drama spent the afternoon together at an early Thanksgiving party in Los Angeles.
The Oscar winning actress looked strained as she left the event carrying a feathered headpiece and jacket belonging to her daughter, but not the child.

Dressed casually in a pair of baggy exercise pants, long sleeved T-shirt and flip flops, the 46-year-old held on tightly to the French actor's hand.
The couple - who announced their engagement in January - seemed determined not to let the court's ruling affect their relationship, but the pair must be having to make adjustments now that Halle will not be relocating to Europe as she hoped.
Nahla's father Gabriel Aubry won a case blocking the move, claiming it would make it difficult for him to sustain his close relationship with the four-year-old.
While Halle and Olivier picked up Nahla from school and took her to the party, her father took her home with him.

Earlier the couple, who have been dating since they met on the set of Dark Tide, due for release this year, enjoyed a romantic lunch at one of their favourite Italian restaurants Osteria Angelini.
Halle claimed that Los Angeles was not the ideal place for her daughter to grow up, due to the glare of the paparazzi.
She has insisted that it was not an attempt to keep Nahla's model father away from her.

The Monster's Ball actress made a rare comment about her custody battle with Gabriel to InStyle magazine this month .
'There is turbulence, but this too shall pass,' she said.
Halle and Gabriel split in April 2010 after more than four years of dating, and she soon began a relationship with actor Olivier. They confirmed their engagement in March.
