Halle Berry, Chaka Khan to receive BET Honors in 2013

Halle Berry and Chaka Khan are to receive special awards at the 2013 BET Honors.
The stars are two of a group of African-American luminaries to be honoured for their contributions to culture at the upcoming ceremony.
WNBA legend Lisa Leslie, former Venture Records executive Clarence Avant and preacher and Sparkle producer TD Jakes will receive tributes.
The cable channel began its BET Honors gala in 2008 and has since paid homage to the likes of Alicia Keys, Tyler Perry, Whitney Houston, Jamie Foxx and Iman.
Gabrielle Union is to host next year's event, with special appearances by other celebrities also scheduled.
BET Honors is taped on January 12 in Washington DC and will air on the network on February 11.
