The FiFi Awards is an annual celebration, which honors the best fragrances in the industry (sort of like the Academy Awards, but only for perfume). This week, a new tent was erected in Damrosch Park for the ceremony. Fergie, Halle Berry and Mary J. Blige were a few of the stars who won awards for their scents. On the red carpet, Fergie told reporters that her perfume "Outspoken," is "outspoken, I want women to feel comfortable in their own skin, to say what they feel and be what they feel." Husband Josh Duhamel surprised the songstress at the gala.
Halle Berry received the Elizabeth Taylor Fragrance Celebrity of the Year Award for "Reveal." She was thrilled. This award, presented by the Foundation’s Board of Directors is to honor a celebrity who has embraced and promoted the world of fragrance over a period of time. It celebrates the ongoing success and support given by the celebrity to the industry and therefore attracting consumers to the category.
Other bold-faced names that we spotted at the event included: Trey Songz (who will have his very own fragrance out in the next 18 months or so), Paz De La Huerta, Willie Garson, Tiffani-Amber Thiessen, Kelly Bensimon, Kate Walsh, Desiree Rogers, Nate Berkus, Jonathan Adler, Sean Patterson, Padma Lakshmi, Carrie Keagan and more!
