It appears that Halle Berry has taken some fashion inspiration from one very unlikely person, he boyfriend's ex, Kylie Minogue.
After watching the popstar prance around onstage in some tiny denim shorts, the actress stepped out in an almost identical pair the day after.
The 44-year-old wore the super short hotpants to go shopping at Bristol Farms in Beverly Hills yesterday.

She carried a studded black leather bag and slipped on a pair of aviators.
Halle also appeared to be giving boyfriend Martinez some subtle hints as she slipped a ring on her wedding finger.
Her outing comes the day after she and Martinez went to see Minogue's Aphrodite concert at the Hollywood Bowl the night before.
Dressed down casually in a pair of denim jeans and a roll-neck knitted sweater, Berry, grit her teeth and watched on as Minogue, 42, put on a rousing performance in an array of sexy outfits, including her infamous cheeky shorts.

D&G designed all of the costumes for Minogue's current Aphrodite - Les Folies tour, including one where the singer appears on stage as Venus, the goddess of love.
The bubbly blonde absolutely stunning in the thigh-skimming Grecian gown complete with a gold plated bustier.
But if it bothered Berry, she didn't show it, instead the actress quietly sipped on a glass of red wine while she took in the sights and sounds.

She even gave Minogue a standing ovation as the curtain closed on the show.
Earlier as the couple arrived, they were greeted by a friend, who happily chatted away with the couple, all while Berry flashed her Hollywood smile.
French actor Martinez appeared in high-spirits during the night, smiling and laughing in the crowd as he sipped on a bottle of beer.

But the singer and Fench actor split in February 2007.
At the time they said the decision to separate was mutual and added that they remained 'very close friends'.
A joint statement released on behalf of the pair read: 'Olivier Martinez and Kylie Minogue have officially confirmed that they are no longer a couple.

'They have made it clear that the decision to go their separate ways was mutual and amicable. The media's false accusations of disloyalty have saddened them both. The two remain very close friends.'
The separation came at the end of a tumultuous time for Minogue after she was diagnosed with breast cancer.
The singer was forced to abandon her Showgirl world tour in May 2005, and did not resume it until last November.
She spoke of how her 'incredible' boyfriend of four years had helped her through the darkest days of her cancer battle.

She said going through treatment felt 'like being in an atomic explosion' but the support of Martinez, was invaluable.
Minogue told Elle magazine at the time: "On particular dark days, I'd be lying on the bathroom floor wailing and he'd say, 'OK, honey, you can cry for just five minutes, then I'm taking you on the bike for a ride around Paris'. "So I'd howl a bit more and then I'd find myself thinking, 'Hmm. Actually, a ride on the bike sounds pretty good.'
'Olli was there all the time, helping with the practical stuff and being protective.
'I don't like to say too much in public about Olivier as he's a very private person, but I will say that he was incredible.
'He didn't hesitate in cancelling work and putting projects on hold so he could be with me. He's the most honourable man I have ever met.' At the time she denied reports the couple were planning to marry.

'I understand the excitement at the prospect of a wedding, but we're simply happy together and getting on with life,' she said.
The couple's parting followed reports that Martinez was seen with younger women in Los Angeles twice while Minogue remained in Britain, leading to speculation of infidelity.
Berry and Martinez met while filming Dark Tide in South Africa last year, which is yet to have a release date but is a thriller about a diving instructor who returns to keep waters after a near-fatal encounter with a Great White shark.
The pair have been inseparable ever since with French born Martinez staying at the actress's Beverly Hills home whenever he is in Los Angeles.
Martinez is sad to have been a great support to Berry all throughout her ugly custody battle with Canadian model, Gabriel Aubry, with whom she split with last year.
