Halle Berry, Fiance Olivier Martinez Scouting Schools for Nahla in Paris
Halle Berry is looking for a fresh start.
The actress, 45, and fiance OlivierMartinez, 46, have been checking out kindergartens for daughter Nahla (with ex Gabriel Aubry) in Paris, several insiders confirm to Us Weekly.
"Halle wants somewhere to care for Nahla," a source close to Martinez explains. "She wants to escape the paparazzi in L.A."
Ironically, the future spouses were photographed pulling up at a branch of the Ateliers de la Petite Enfance in the City of Lights. "They strolled inside and spend around 30 minutes chatting with teachers," an onlooker tells Us.
Should Berry decide to enroll her 4-year-old daughter at the EPA, a spokesman for the school tells Us: "Here, the door is always open. . .We provide emotional security for all the kids, as well as early learning. The kids stay until lunchtime, or else until mid-afternoon, when they are collected."
The cost of full-time enrollment is about 1,100 Euros a month -- roughly $1,451.89 in U.S. currency. "Nahla's education is a priority for both of them," a Martinez pal says. "They want to give her a European education."
French actor-turned-restaurateur Martinez is "very keen" to settle in the city he was born and raised, a close pal adds. "He would absolutely love Halle to be over here full-time. That way they could all be a proper family once the wedding is over."
As Us exclusively reported in January, the Dark Tides costars got engaged over the holidays.
Martinez hired Paris-based Lebanese jeweler Robert Mazlo, whose shop is located in his own Saint-Germain-des-Pres neighborhood, to custom design Berry's engagement ring. "Olivier was absolutely delighted with the result," a source saud of the "stunning" bauble, worth "well into the five figures."
