She has called her second pregnancy at the age of 46 'a miracle.'

But Halle Berry is making sure the excitement of her impending arrival doesn't detract from her duties as a parent to her five-year-old daughter Nahla.

The Oscar winner showed off her burgeoning belly in a figure-hugging black dress as she fetched her little girl from school on Tuesday in Los Angeles, loving wrapping her arm around Nahla as the pair walked towards their car.

The Monster's Ball star looked incredible in the sleeveless dress, which revealed just how much her tummy has grown since she announced her pregnancy earlier this year.

Halle added a summery touch with black leather sandals and shielded her eyes with brown aviator sunglasses.

She wore her signature short brown hair tousled and unstyled, and showed off a flawless, glowing complexion.

Halle leaned over as they walked, appearing to listen attentively as the little girl told her famous mother about her day at school.

The actress carried Nahla's colourful school satchel shaped like a house, as well as an Urban Outfitters reusable shopping bag.

The Call star's outing came as she opened up about expecting her second child at her age, admitting that conceiving a baby with fiancé Olivier Martinez was a 'miracle'
She told ET Online: 'I'm thinking that this is a miracle. I feel really happy. It's one of the best things that happened in my life, for sure.
'The baby, a boy, will be the first for 47-year-old French actor Olivier, and the second for Halle, who is mother to Nahla with ex Gabriel Aubry.
