Halle Berry sure knows how to make a first impression.

The 49-year-old commemorated joining picture-sharing social network Instagram by sharing a topless photo of herself on Tuesday.

She shows plenty of skin in the racy snap as the photo is taken from behind with a majestic jungle-like background.

Her highlighted brunette tresses were worn down flowing over her shoulders as she could be seen wearing nothing but bracelets on her wrists.

The Oscar-winner shared the photo with a thoughtful caption about joining the picture-sharing social network as she wrote: 'Hi everyone. Welcome! Today is a very exciting day for me... I'm looking forward to sharing our world through images that reflect my emotions and perceptions.

'I am in awe of photography and its ability to capture and reflect this extraordinary world that we live in.

'I'm excited to share with you my love of nature, the arts, fashion and much more in the hopes that the images will inspire, promote conversation and bring you joy. [heart emoji] Halle.'

No doubt the photo was taken on her holiday in Mexico as she has been enjoying bonding time in Puerto Vallarta with her two children and estranged husband Olivier Martinez.

Last week the couple - who filed for divorce in October - were spotted jetting from LAX Airport with heir son Maceo, two, and Halle's daughter from a previous relationship, Nahla, eight.

When the pair filed for divorce - both cited 'irreconcilable differences' - they said they wanted to move forward with the best interest of their children at heart.

Friendly exes indeed: Initially keeping their heads down and not showing any emotion, Halle stopped at one point and broke into a big smile as they headed to check-in

The pair are reportedly seeking joint custody of Maceo with Halle no doubt wanting to avoid the vicious and drawn battle she went through with Nahla's father, Gabriel Aubry.

Halle and Olivier were married for two years before they called it quits on their marriage.

In a joint statement they announced their divorce via People, saying: 'It is with a heavy heart that we have come to the decision to divorce.

Support system: While Nahla is not his biological daughter, Olivier and the eight-year-old are very close

'We move forward with love and respect for one another and the shared focus of what is best for our son. We wish each other nothing but happiness in life and we hope that you respect our and, most importantly, our children's privacy as we go through this difficult period.'

And while the pair were flying together last week, sources tell TMZ that nothing has changed with them - they are being civil rather than reconciling.

The website reports that while the pair are getting on friendlier terms there is 'no chance' of them getting back together.

Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez might be getting divorced, but it is clear there is still a lot of love there.

The exes looked very friendly as they basked on a beach in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico during a family vacation with their two-year-old son Maceo and her daughter Nahla, eight.

Halle was seen lounging next to the French actor with her hand on his bare chest and right over his heart, a soft smile forming on her face while he gazed back at her adoringly.

The breeze rustled through her hair which she wore pulled back in a loose ponytail.

She sat upright, hugging their little boy close to her chest and staring off to sea through tinted shades.

The actress had wrapped Maceo in her soft beige robe and only his bare feet stuck out from the folds.

Later she sat in her black swimsuit, smiling as she watched over her daughter playing in the surf.

Olivier wore camouflage swim trunks and shades as he lay back against the lounge chair in total relaxation.

The look he gave Halle might have given the impression that these two aren't quite finished.

TMZ, however, reports that Halle fully intends to end their marriage and proceed as planned with the divorce.

It's clear that the Monster's Ball star holds a special place in her own heart for Olivier.

At another point during the sun-basking afternoon, Olivier walked up to Halle and leaned over her as though presenting his cheek for her to kiss.

She was smiling and listening thoughtfully to something he was saying, and he in turn seemed to be in the best of moods.

The pair filed for divorce in October 2015 after two years of marriage, citing 'irreconcilable differences.'

In a joint statement they announced their divorce via People, saying: 'It is with a heavy heart that we have come to the decision to divorce.'

Halle and Olivier are both seeking joint custody of their son Maceo, and no doubt want to avoid the drama that ensued between the actress and her older daughter Nahla's father, Gabriel Aubry.

'I'm doing okay, I really am,' Halle told Extra in November at an event to benefit a domestic abuse facility in Los Angeles.

'I keep pushing and I'm really happy to be here because whenever you're going through anything in life, when you step outside yourself and focus on others, that's always the best remedy for any situation that you'd rather not be dealing with.'

She gave birth to son Maceo seven months ago but Halle Berry has admitted her second pregnancy was a complete shock.

The 47-year-old actress - who already has daughter Nahla from a previous relationship with Gabriel Aubry - admitted she was dumbfounded when she and now husband Olivier Martinez found out she was expecting because she had been feeling 'premenopausal' and didn't think she could conceive.

Halle told chat show host Ellen DeGeneres in a new episode airing on Tuesday: 'They call it a geriatric pregnancy,' before adding: 'I was, you know, on my way…this is probably way TMI, but I was really, you know, kinda premenopausal so to have this happen was a huge [shock].'

And Halle credits her daughter's prayers for a sibling with being responsible for this 'miracle' pregnancy.

She said: 'I mean, I didn’t think it was possible to have another baby and I thought for sure I had a need never to get married again. So, I’ve learned never to say never.

'Nahla prayed and prayed for him for like a year and a half for a baby and a bunk bed and she got both of those things.'

After Ellen said, 'Love changes everything,' Halle wryly replied: 'Ya…or a baby does for sure.'

When Ellen said, 'It's a miracle,' Halle replied, 'Only her prayers could have done this. I didn’t think it was possible at my age, honestly.'

She added: 'So she’s just like, he’s like one of her dollies that came to life.

'You know and all she wants to do is change his clothes. Like she’ll purposely like throw something on his shirt and say, "Oh mommy, he’s got to change his shirt. He has a mess on him!" She just likes to change his clothes, change his diapers…'

Halle also went into detail on nursing her son. Ellen asked: 'And is he a good baby? Is he sleeping? Is he like this magical little thing? I mean they all are right?'

And Halle replied: 'They all are and we think he is in our house. But there’s a difference between boys and girls.

'You know, I’m nursing both…I breastfed Nahla and I’m nursing my baby. When I would put Nahla on the boob she would go (light sucking) a nice little girly suck with him it's like (chomping suck) he’s like sucking the life out of me. So I see the difference between boys and girls.'

To which Ellen joked: 'That was TMI in my opinion, but okay.'
