They might not be speaking to one another, but both Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubry obviously dote on their daughter Nahla.

The five-year-old charmed her famous parents with her antics as they took it in turns to do the school run on Wednesday.

First a dawdling Nahla stopped to smell the flowers with her 46-year-old mother as she headed to school in Beverly Hills and later blew soap bubbles with her father after school.

Nahla clutched a handful of what appeared to be rosemary and took a big whiff as Halle held her hand and her daughter's lunch pail.

The youngster looked dressed for an active day in yellow shorts and a pink T-shirt, her curly brown hair in a low ponytail.

Halle announced earlier this year that she was pregnant and wore a comfortable, loose outfit of baggy black sweatpants and wide-necked striped green sweatshirt with sandals.

She had her signature short brown hair tousled and unstyled and also wore dark sunglasses.

After school Nahla was seen blowing soapy bubbles with a friend while Gabriel, 36, placed a protective hand on her back.

She looked to be having a ball as she blew furiously through the round toy, impressively creating some large bubble as she walked alongside a blonde friend.

Gabriel, meanwhile, appeared to be in his element, breaking into a grin as his little girl pranced along beside him.

The model showed off his buff body in a black T-shirt paired with baggy jeans and white trainers.

He carried his trusty reusable bag, perhaps indicating he is someone who takes environmental issues seriously.

Halle's ex was reportedly distraught when the actress tried to take his daughter to live in France.

The pair eventually reached a custody agreement which means Nahla stays in the US.

Halle, who pays Gabriel a reported $20,000 a month in child support, struck a deal with the Canadian last year.

But Halle Berry is making sure the excitement of her impending arrival doesn't detract from her duties as a parent to her five-year-old daughter Nahla.

The Oscar winner showed off her burgeoning belly in a figure-hugging black dress as she fetched her little girl from school on Tuesday in Los Angeles, loving wrapping her arm around Nahla as the pair walked towards their car.

The Monster's Ball star looked incredible in the sleeveless dress, which revealed just how much her tummy has grown since she announced her pregnancy earlier this year.

She wore her signature short brown hair tousled and unstyled, and showed off a flawless, glowing complexion.

Proud of her growing belly, Halle Berry showcased her burgeoning bump in a clinging maxi dress as she stepped out in Malibu, California over the weekend.
On Monday, however, the 46-year-old actress slipped into full-on maternity frock to pick up her daughter Nahla from school in Los Angeles.

At first, the dress appeared to be just your average short-sleeved tunic frock, but as it got caught in the wind, it was clear that the piece was specially constructed for a mother-to-be.
As extra air flowed up the frock, the dress gave the illusion of a ready-to-pop baby bump.
Still showing a sense of style, the X-Men star sported a pair of bedazzled black sandals on her feet.

But Halle Berry is clearly blooming after she showed off her baby bump as she left a restaurant in Los Angeles on Thursday.
The Catwoman favourite seemed in a bright mood after enjoying dinner at the fancy Rivabella in West Hollywood.

The proud 46-year-old was not afraid to show off her growing belly in a loose fitting top, trendy patterned jacket, skirt and boots.
She recently revealed her pregnancy came as a surprise, who thought she had a health complaint when she went for a check up with the doctor.
She said: 'I was at the doctor's when they told me and I was completely shocked.
'I didn't see it coming. I went to the doctor because I thought I had kidney stones or something.'
But she and her fiance Olivier Martinez were thrilled at the news. 'Olivier and I have always wanted to be parents, but I didn't want to get my hopes up.'

Meanwhile his old sparring partner Gabriel Aubry was busy with more serious matters, picking up his daughter with former lover Halle from school.
The male model wore a wide smile as her carried five-year-old Nahla in his arms, and was no doubt looking forward to treating her after another hard day of learning.
